Image Awards 2010: Precious batte tutti

Ai quarantunesimi NAACP Image awards domina Precious: il film si è portato a casa ben sei riconoscimenti tra cui quelli per la miglior fotografia, la miglior regia, il miglior film indipendente, la migliore attrice protagonista (Gabourey Sidibe) e la migliore attrice non protagonista (Mo’Nique). La Sidibe, entusiasta ha detto:

E’ un onore essere stata nominata, ma è una cosa impressionante vincere. Amo vincere!

Durante la serata, ad interrompere l’egemonia di Precious e di Tyler Perry (lui ha sbaragliato la concorrenza nella sezione serie tv), è stato consegnato il premio per il miglior attore protagonista a Morgan Freeman, per la sua interpretazione in Invictus.
